Year 5 help out with some EHU Research – 18th March 2019

Today, the children from our Year 5 have taken part in an exciting research project for Edge Hill University (EHU).

The project is looking at children’s physical activity and sleep and how they relate to aspects of health and well-being. Such research has only taken place in Singapore and New Zealand!!
The children took part in various measures including height, weight, an on-line questionnaire, cognitive tests and a movement skills circuit. The children have also been given an activity monitor to wear for 8 days. These can be taken off in the shower / bath and swimming sessions, and also for gymnastics and contact sports – apart from that – please can they wear them at all times!!

Questionnaires are also going out to parents and carers tonight – these need to be in school by next Tuesday (26th March) – with the activity monitors so that they can be collected by the EHU staff.
